Hands down, no radio station in NYC is as remotely cool as WFMU. I guess considering that most radio stations blow pretty hard its not saying that much, but really WFMU is in a league by itself. Even XM doesn’t really compete. The eclectic and eccentric range of hipster DJ’s consistently provide an endless stream of obscure and underground garage magic that is always fresh! I constantly find myself saying “Wow, what a great song! who the hell is this? and why have I never heard this before?” Makes you want to go out and buy some vinyl and crank up the old record player.
