I’m a Freak

By michael lavine in , Television

December was madness: My book project was due and a final edit of 180 drumscanned images had to be delivered, A trip to Mexico city, Pittsburg PA and Atlanta GA in the stretch of 8 days, plus christmas and all of the holiday shenanigans. I didn’t think I was going to make it. Thankfully everything worked out and we had a wonderful vacation spent with family and friends, including an impromptu ski trip to Vermont. But I have to admit that this break will surely be remembered for our “Freaks and Geeks” marathon. Over the course of five or so days we sat down as a family and got completely sucked into the brilliantly executed and poignant series by Judd Apthow and Paul Feig about high school in Michigan in 1980. I went to high school in 1980 and this was in essence what it was like. What an amazing show, too bad it got canceled after only one season. What the hell is wrong with people? Bill Haverchuck Rules!!

This was really creepy, I’m thinking that in real life these kids are building pipe bombs in a basement in Brooklyn, with black candles in front of a photo of David Berkowitz on the wall. Is this from some movie?
